After a few days in Prague, we hopped on a train to stunning Vienna, Austria, coincidentally on Joel's birthday! To celebrate the birthday boy, we dined at Everybody's Darling, a chic restaurant that truly deserves a Michelin Star!
The meal was absolutely incredible!
Unfortunately, the menu was only available in Danish and German, but it featured delightful dishes like tomato soup, tapioca waffle, spinach cream, truffles, tuna, crustacean broth, and creamy potato—everything was fantastic!
Our Vienna adventure continued as we explored iconic sights such as Schönbrunn Palace, St. Stephen's Cathedral, Hofburg, Belvedere Palace, the Kunsthistorisches Museum, and the Sisi Museum.
We also enjoyed a Lipizzaner performance at the Spanish Riding School, a bucket list experience for Joel.
We also managed to fit in a day trip to Hallstatt, a stunning town in Upper Austria. Renowned for its salt production, we chose to tour the Salzwelten Salt Mines, the oldest salt mine in the region, to pay homage to its history.
No trip would be complete without a tribute to food, especially in honor of Bianca. We made sure to savor all the delicious offerings Vienna had in store, including a memorable fine dining experience at Pramerl & Wolf.
During this trip, I’ve been feeling a mix of emotions. I feel so grateful to be sharing this experience with Joel and Chris, but there’s also a deep sadness because Bianca should be here with us, exploring these sites and tasting all this delicious food.
